Established in 2003 and newly incorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, GRC is North Central Florida’s premier men’s rugby club. Our mascot—the Hog—is a nod to Gainesville’s historic nickname, "Hogtown," and a symbol of the grit, camaraderie, and resilience that define our team.
Our mission is to foster high-level athletic competition while building character through the core values of World Rugby—Integrity, Passion, Solidarity, Discipline, and Respect—alongside our own club principles of Courage, Compassion, and Humility. Whether on the pitch or in the community, the Hogs are a diverse brotherhood of students, veterans, working professionals, and international transplants united by a common love for the sport and a deep commitment to each other.
Since our founding, we’ve earned nine division state titles, two Florida Cup Championships, and five National Sweet-Sixteen appearances. Beyond the accolades, we are best known for our strong community spirit and our presence across Florida and the Southeastern U.S. Through consistent competition and regional travel, we strengthen not just our club, but the broader rugby community as well.
